Heather Smith has her Bachelor of Science in nursing and has been working in the field since 2014 in hospital and home health settings. She is currently working for a private practice in Southern California as a traveling wound care specialist. When home in Eastern Oklahoma, she volunteers for her rural community as an emergency medical responder and firefighter.
Heather started her freelance writing company, Nurse and Quill LLC in 2022. After many years of educating people about their medical conditions, Heather enjoys using her experience and knowledge to reach a broader range of people. When not writing, Heather is homeschooling her three kids and working with her family to build their dream farm. She desires to offer her family the best nutrition she can by raising, growing, and preserving their own food.
